The Yeasayer is aimed at riders of all ability levels who are looking for a board that combines a more mellow playful ride with a level of versatility that you wouldn’t expect in this kind of board. Built around an advanced twin shape, it delivers a balanced overall ride, creating a predictable feel and ensuring that no matter what or where you ride, you’ll always feel that control under your feet. That control and the mellow ride are then further enhanced with the Flat Top profile. Featuring a small amount of rocker in the contact points with a flat section under the feet, it gives the ideal balance of freestyle playfulness, off-piste float and on piste control and response. This combination of easy-going ride and ride anything versatility make the Yeahsayer the perfect choice for anyone looking for a board that takes minimal effort to ride, but who also want a board that won’t hold them back, no matter where or how they ride.

Rider Profile

Riders of all ability levels who are looking for a versatile and easy going all-terrain board that delivers a mellow ride without ever feeling underpowered.

Shape Overview

The Yeasayer is built around a fully balanced, versatile twin-tip shape. This innovative low swing weight design delivers a balanced overall ride ensuring that you get all the control and feel that you could ever need. However, thanks to the innovative nose and tail profile and long effective edge, it also delivers excellent performance over the whole mountain, ensuring that the Yeasayer is truly versatile. Now one of the key reasons that the Yeasayer is so good when it comes to riding the whole mountain is down to the innovative Frost Bite edges. Frostbite Edges extend out slightly beneath your bindings for tremendous edge-hold on hard, icy conditions. Powerful when you need them, playful when you don’t.

As the Yeasayer is all about that balance of performance, versatility and easy going nature, Burton fit it with their Flat Top profile. This places a flat profile between the feet, meaning improved stability, better balance, and continuous edge control. The tip and tail kick up with an early rise outside the feet; this gives a reassuring catch-free ride combined with a looser more forgiving feeling you’d expect from rocker.

As the Yeasayer is all about delivering that easy going and forgiving all-terrain ride, Burton uses a combination of modern technology and traditional construction. Heading this up is the advanced FSC™ Certified Super Fly® 800G Core with Dualzone™ EGD™. This state of the art wood core uses utilises dual-density vertical laminations of alternating softwood/hardwood to reduce overall weight with no sacrifice in strength or performance. Now to dial in the perfect easy-going flex, the core is re-profiled with Squeezebox Low. This creates Stiffer zones just outside the feet, creating a more direct energy transfer to the tip and tail while enabling a softer, smoother flex between the bindings. Now to ensure that the Yeasayer isn’t overly soft and to make sure it performs equally as well when you want to push it a little more, Burton creates the structural layers from their torsionally responsive women specific tri ax glass. These help increase strength as well as powering up the board.

To deliver exceptional performance with minimal maintenance, the Yeasayer features a versatile extruded base material.
