DWD’S GOODWOOD WINNING EASY GOING ALL TERRAIN PARK SLAYER

If you’re on the market for a versatile all-terrain freestyle board, then you really need to be looking at the Maet. Hovering under the radar of most snowboard buyers, this Transworld Good Wood winning board takes DWD’s legendary freestyle know-how and integrates it into a versatile all-terrain board that rides well above its price. No matter if you’re lapping the park, searching out side hits or just cruising the resort, this superb snowboard is always in its element. Built around a mid-wide true twin shape and featuring DWD’s all-terrain friendly Lowrider Camber, the Maet will satisfy riders of all ability levels, who are looking for the poise and control that you only get from a freestyle board, but who don’t want to be hard wired to the park.

Rider Style

Freestyle riders who want to break out of the park but who are unwilling to sacrifice the balance and control that you only get with an authentic freestyle board.

Shape Overview

The Maet utilises a classic round tipped true twin shape. This versatile mid-wide shape with centred stance delivers a fully balanced ride for optimum freestyle control. That rounded nose profile reduces weight at the tip and tail, but working in harmony with that extra width delivers a surprising amount of float in the pow and a level of stability on the piste that is nothing short of remarkable. To ensure that the Maet provides a progressive and stable ride it utilises a single radius sidecut. Based on a single radius from contact point to contact point, it tracks an evenly arced turn.

Profile

As the Maet is all about blending freestyle and all-terrain riding, DWD utilises their versatile Lowrider Camber. This tip to tail low rise traditional camber profile delivers an easy-going ride but still gives that poppy and stable feel that you only really get from conventional camber. This ensures that you aren’t sacrificing any of the boards all-terrain performance.

Construction

Internally the Maet utilises DWD’s poplar and birch core. This versatile wood core delivers the perfect balance of playful flex and poppy response to provide the ideal riding characteristics for the all mountain freestyler. Underlining those freestyle credentials even further are the torsionally softer Bi-Ax glass structural layers. These create a softer torsional flex stepping up slow speed control to let you lock in those rail tricks while delivering almost effortless performance out on the mountain.

Base

The low maintenance extruded base gives a fast glide without the need for constant waxing.
